There was no rest for the team at M2 Computing over the Christmas holiday period, as we worked on an IT infrastructure project for our new client, Pure Search. With offices based in London, Hong Kong, New York and Singapore, Pure Search is an international recruitment company specialising in commerce, industry and financial services.
Pure Search approached M2 Computing to deliver an alternative solution to their hosted desktop IT system. The team were struggling to work productively with this hosted desktops due to fluctuating internet speeds and connection difficulties. To improve their performance and make their working life easier, we provided the entire team with the latest Dell business-grade laptops, with 3 year next business day global onsite warranties and docking stations, and migrated their data and email from the hosted desktops across to Office 365 utilising Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online and Skype for Business.
To protect sensitive data and reduce the risk of security leaks, we also implemented Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility + Security. This provides Pure Search with the best in class enterprise security features. Firstly, Enterprise Mobility Suite provides Pure Search with Intune, a powerful Mobile Device Management solution that protects corporate data, with conditional access only granted to compliant, managed devices. It has enabled Pure Search to implement a robust bring your own device (BYOD) strategy, with safeguards to protect company data. Secondly, Azure Active Directory Premium Services centrally manages employee identities across the cloud network by using a secure single sign on solution to all applications, including Sales Force. Thirdly, it includes Azure Rights Management, giving them full control over who has access to sensitive information. With this in place, it is possible to revoke access to emails and documents even after they have been downloaded and accessed by a third party recipient.
Enterprise Mobility Suite provides Pure Search with a robust bring your own device (BYOD) security solution by managing and protecting corporate applications across all devices. Employee identities can be centrally managed across the cloud network by using a secure single sign on solution to all applications.
We also implemented Exchange Online Advanced Threat Protection for Office 365, adding an extra layer of security against malicious emails and harmful links that may contain viruses or malware. In addition, installing Advanced Threat Analytics provides increased visibility across the data network by flagging unusual activity and allowing us to act quickly to prevent security breaches.
The project was completed by the team this month and Pure Search are fully supported with M2 Assist Gold.
